CRITERIA FOR EVALUATING PAPERS |

|
Publication decisions are made based
on the ability of a paper to meet the following criteria:
- The paper is written at a level accessible
to other undergraduate students.
- It is concerned with an important research
problem.
- It describes the research problem clearly
and persuasively.
- It uses a theoretical framework that
is apporpriate to the research problem.
- It provides adequate supporting arguments,
evidence, examples, and details.
- It relates the principal findings back
to the research problem.
- It draws policy implications (if any)
from the principal findings.
- It is well organized and unified.
- It uses appropriate, direct language.
- It correctly acknowledges and documents
sources.
- It maintains a level of excellence
throughout.
- It shows originality and creativity
in realizing (1) through (11).
