Parts of a Telecom Network
Introduction
This tutorial provides a brief overview of the public switched telephone network.   It is used in Economics 235 - Economics of Telecommunications and Public Policy at Ilinois State University .   The target audience for this tutorial is economists, managers and policymakers; it is not meant for technical personnel.   At the conclusion of this tutorial, the student should be able to:

            1. identify the parts of the network
            2. description their function
            3. understand how the parts fit together
            4. know who owns each network part
