When you need to request an update to your PoS

Economics majors and minors are expected to keep track of the Progress to Degree in iCampus. Whenever you check this information and you do not see economics classes you believe should be in your plan, simply fill out this online form and your plan of study will be updated as soon as possible.

Course Overrides

Important information about course overrides

Students who plan to enrol in the ECO300 (the Senior Capstone Project) should first select the 300-level elective (3 hour course). Next, fill out this online form and provide the course number of that 3xx elective. You will then receive an override into the appropriate section, and each student must then register for ECO300 (1 hour Capstone). Simply processing the override does not enrol you in the course.

Students wishing to obtain an override into an Economics course that is major-blocked must submit this online override request form, and you must provide the reason an override is sought.

Students wishing to obtain an override to register for a non-major-blocked course that is fully enrolled must contact the course instructor. The decision whether to approve the override request is left entirely to the instructor.

Finally, the Economics program cannot issue overrides for courses in other departments. To obtain an override from another department, contact that department.

Two-Strikes and Out Policy

Students will NOT be given an override to enroll for a third time in any of the core courses in the major. (Exceptions to this policy may be considered in extreme circumstances.)
